In this masterclass you will learn to use your strengths to the maximum and to navigate wisely in your challenges with different employees. The basis for this is your own leadership behavior as well as the most tested and effective tools for leading and communicating. Included is an individual personal profile analysis and a personal coaching session with direct counseling on your challenges.

In just three intensive course days over three months you will be well prepared for the challenges ahead. You will get maximum knowledge in a short period of time, as the course minimizes your time consumption, but at the same time supports your learning, because you have time to practice your newly acquired skills on your job in between course days.

Practical education with a focus on teaching you specific and useful tools

The course is practice-oriented and is based on your actual experiences. It is based on exercises and tangible examples that make it easy to learn. You get three personal coaching sessions with a focus on your own challenges. This helps you use and integrate the teachings in your own work life.

AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP

The key to good leadership lies in self-awareness and in reflection on your own behavior and style as a leader. Therefore, module 1 is about the authentic leadership, and what your own approach to good leadership is and looks like.

You will get knowledge and tools to:

  • Increase your self-awareness as a leader
  • Use different leadership styles, e.g., situational leadership
  • Understand your own leadership profile and behavior, based on a personal profile analysis
  • Develop your strengths and deal with your barriers as a leader
  • Lead people by getting them to join a project and follow you
  • Use feedback, delegation and coaching targeted at your employees

DILEMMAS IN COMMUNICATION AND INFLUENCE

To create results as a leader, it is crucial that you can communicate clearly and with impact. Module 2 is about ensuring that your messages get through, and about how you can create efficiency and engagement with communication.

You will get knowledge and tools to:

  • Deliver a clear and concise message
  • Appear authentic, clear, focused and personal in your communication
  • Use verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Exercise active listening and use the information you receive
  • Apply feedback and questioning techniques to your employees
  • Communicate with impact and promote specific actions

CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

As a manager, you will face conflicts and difficult conversations with employees or between them. The purpose of module 3 is to teach you to use conflicts constructively to innovate and top create a basis for well-being - for your employees and yourself.

You will get knowledge and tools to:

  • Differentiate between different types of conflicts
  • Uncover the causes of disagreements with and between other people
  • Understand conflict escalation and de-escalation
  • Use different conflict resolution models and tools
  • Handle difficult conversations
  • Conduct behavior-correcting conversations

Practical information


Target audience

The course is for everyone in a leadership position

Modules and course days

The Masterclass runs over three course modules, lasting one day each with tuition from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The three course days are distributed so that you can practice what you have learned at your job in between the modules.

Teaching method

The teaching is intensive and close to practice, so you will learn what is needed quickly and efficiently. You will be presented with the most important approaches and techniques and be activated through exercises and discussions. You get the opportunity to discuss your own challenges and share knowledge with your co-participants.

The course ends with a course certificate

 

 

Personal profile analysis

Prior to the course, you will do an online personal profile analysis.

Personal coaching session

The course includes a personal coaching session where you address your managerial challenges with an experienced leader and coach. You will have the opportunity to continue the personal coaching after the course has ended.

Price and registration

The price for the entire course is 19,955 DKK per person excl. VAT. The price includes materials, personal profile analysis, coaching session, network meeting and catering in the form of breakfast, sandwiches, and afternoon cake (catering is not included in the online version).

Single modules

Instead of registering for the entire course, you can also choose to simply take one or two of the three modules at a price of 9,995 DKK per module excl. VAT. Contact us to know more.

Gitte Astrup Melgaard

Instructor, leader, coach and senior consultant in HR, management, and organizational development

Gitte Astrup Melgaard is an experienced instructor who combines an overview of approaches and tools with practical exercises and active learning. Furthermore, Gitte works as a senior consultant with tasks such as: strategic and tactical management consulting, Executive Search, and individual management counseling. She draws on her many years of experience as a manager and consultant.

Gitte is the responsible instructor on our Leadership Course and will be the primary face on the three course days.
